On the Create New Password page, there is an inconsistency between the validation warning message and the displayed password requirements.
When entering a password with fewer than 8 characters, the system shows the warning “Password must be at least 8 characters”, while the password requirements listed below state “At least 12 characters”.

This inconsistency can confuse users and creates unclear password expectations.

Steps to Reproduce¶

1. Navigate to the Create New Password page
   (Forgot Password → Enter existing account email).
2. Enter a password with fewer than 8 characters.
3. Observe the validation warning message and the password requirements text.

Expected Result¶

The validation warning and password requirements should be consistent and reflect the same minimum character rule.

Actual Result¶

• Validation warning displays: “Password must be at least 8 characters”
• Password requirements state: “At least 12 characters”
