BUG #3874
open[SQA] Mobile Hamburger Menu Structure Does Not Match Primary Navbar
100%
Description
The mobile hamburger menu does not match the structure, labeling, or organization of the primary navbar, resulting in an inconsistent and confusing user experience.
Several menu items are missing, relocated, or incorrectly grouped compared to the desktop navbar.
Additionally, important contact information appears mixed with menu items, further reducing clarity.
Identified inconsistencies include:
- “Used Cars” and “About Us” exist in the primary navbar but are missing or moved in the hamburger menu.
- Additional options like “Back Order” and “More” appear in the hamburger menu but are not present in the desktop navbar.
- Dropdown grouping and ordering, such as Auto Parts, differ between both menus.
- Phone and email icons/links shown properly in the navbar appear mixed with menu items inside the hamburger.
Screens: Desktop (≥768px), Tablet (425px–768px), Mobile (≤375px)
Tested By: Tasfia Zaima
Steps to Reproduce¶
- Open the PQS Japan staging website on mobile or use browser responsive mode.
- Open the primary navbar and review the menu structure.
- Open the hamburger menu from the mobile navigation.
- Compare menu item labels, dropdown organization, and contact info placement.
- Observe the structural inconsistencies between both menus.
Expected Result¶
The mobile hamburger menu should mirror the primary navbar structure, with:
- Used Cars and About Us present and in the same order as the navbar.
- No additional items such as Back Order and More unless they also exist in the primary navbar.
- Dropdown grouping (e.g., Auto Parts) identical in order and layout.
- Contact information (phone/email) placed consistently, not mixed with menu items.
Actual Result¶
The hamburger menu shows missing items, extra items, changed grouping, and inconsistent placement of contact information.
